Diagnosis: Cancer

Eating away at my mind as I wait in silence
The long dark halls of fate seem endless
The pain and torture, the lack of hope, are evident

Facing the fear of life or death decisions
Wax philosophical over strength
And whether or not peace is attainable

The decision was made and now you're chosen
Walk the path you are given
Take your pride and put it in our pocket

Faith and faith alone is all you cling to
When the path turns dark it alone will guide you
For everything there is a reason

I bow my head in quiet moments
And think upon your burden
This life we lead is not to be forgotten

Powerless though we are, we have our freedom
Our actions can thus speak volumes
So live and live and bring tomorrow
