Poem by Doniell Cushman
Russet bark
Laying there Cushioned by verdant grass How did you land here? Children gleeful Atop the slide Scooting down fearlessly Babies cooing Gentle swings Toothy smiles full of delight Shady trees Firmly rooted Swaying wildly in the breeze It's to go home soon Racked bikes Squeaking out Riders jump upon and flee © Doniell Cushman.
